I am a crypto enthusiast and determined to promote PIVX in West Africa starting from my country Ghana.
I have supported in advocating PIVX through meet ups and conferences in Ghana.
I currently want to undertake a project that will promote PIVX through Ghanaian universities and to see the youth inculcate the habit of savings towards a journey to financial liberation using PIVX as store of capital to achieve their entrepreneurial goals. This will also enhance merchant adoption and businesses accepting PIVX in Ghana, notwithstanding the increasing level of cyptocurrency awareness in the country. My name is George oduro am on discord as ominicrypto.
SUMMARY
This project is aimed at introducing PIVX to students in 5 major public universities in Ghana. The reason is to educate them on the importance of youth savings as a means of creating access to and a key link between economic opportunities and outcomes for young people and enabling them to manage emergencies, invest in their education as well as improve their future orientation. At the same time advocating massively for the adoption of PIVX in the Ghanaian market.
Education-based marketing is probably the most efficient method to advertise a new product. In first steps interested persons will learn about the blockchain technology, Cryptocurrencies, PIVX, Savings and investments, business ideas and the need for using PIVX as store of capital and a medium of exchange to realize their entrepreneurial goals by accumulating capital through PIVX . This will enable them to appreciate how the product operates and why they should use it in specific for their daily activities like receiving remittances from abroad, P2P transactions, trade, payment of bills/fees etc. Students will also be trained on how to promote PIVX using their social media accounts like WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc.
DESCRIPTION
Ghana is a relatively large country with an estimated population of over 27 million people. The youth plays a major role in the development of any country. But unfortunately, in Ghana more than 1.2 million persons from 15 years and older are estimated to be unemployed, representing the 11.49% unemployment rate in the country. However, the good news is that about 90% of the Youth 18-35years use a smart phone and have social media accounts like WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc. This therefore provides sufficient room to actually promote PIVX through the youth who are mostly in the Universities.
The training will be held in five (5) different university campuses across the country. More than 50 participants are expected to attend the workshop at each selected campus (University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University for Development Studies (Tamale), University of Cape Coast and the University of Education (Winneba).
Action Plan: All participants would be trained on how to set up PIVX wallets and how they can also promote it through their social media accounts or bringing more ideas on board through proposal write-ups to the PIVX community. In addition, Ten (10) Participants from each university who seems active and demonstrate excellent understanding of the blockchain technology and PIVX technology would be selected to serve as campus Ambassadors for PIVX. Below is the planned activity for them:-
All participants will be trained on the blockchain technology, PIVX, how to download and setup PIVX wallets, key features of PIVX, how to purchase PIVX from local and international exchanges, and the advantages of using PIVX for their daily transactions worldwide for the payment of goods and services, payment of fees/bills, receiving remittances and many more. $5 worth of PIVX will be given to the first 20 participants and have them send some of it back or to other participants. This will make them feel the speed and convenience with PIVX and also give them experience in using PIVX immediately. Students will therefore be encouraged to use their savings to purchase PIVX to accumulate capital and wealth using PIVX as store of capital in the long term to realize their entrepreneurial goals.
Participants will also be trained on Digital marketing, Business Planning & Execution, proposal writing, and how they can achieve their entrepreneurial goals through wealth creation by accumulating capital through PIVX in the long term. Finally, Students will be allowed to submit business ideas for mentorship and execution.
Ten (10) students from each university who attained outstanding skills in the workshop will be trained to promote PIVX among colleague students and lecturers as campus Ambassadors for PIVX and also establish campus club in their respective university campuses. These groups will be trained to teach students on how to make use of PIVX as store of capital to realize their entrepreneurial ideas after successful graduation and to also used as medium of exchange. They will be provided $500 worth of PIVX as support to organize school-based and cluster-based workshops in their respective campuses. The clubs will also be supported to educate management, the Student Representative Council (SRC) and other campus based groups and associations to start accepting PIVX for payment of fees and/or other association dues.
Again Ambassadors of PIVX will be trained to be merchants that trade in PIVX in Ghana for extra income. Their extra duties are to convince households, business associations and professional groups such as teachers, nurses, accountants, lawyers in Ghana to buy and hold PIVX for the long term.
There will also be one on one interactions with business on the various campuses that is retail shops grocery stores among others on the need to accept PIVX as a medium of exchange.
