Summary:

This proposal seeks funds to cover the costs related to paying a 3rd party service provider to host the PIVX.org EMail server for a full year.


Description:

We were taking advantage of a kind offer from Kyeno and Meerkat to use their EMail Hosting service provider for free, since their plan includes a lot of capacity. As they are less active in PIVX now, and we have the funds available now, it is appropriate that we make the switch now to handle this ourselves.

After a review of the existing email accounts being used, we migrated from our existing service to this new provider with 12 actual EMail accounts. One is a [email protected] account and another is a 'CatchAll' account. This means any email accounts we didn't migrate due to lack of use, are still accessible for account recovery reasons etc.

This leaves 10 EMail accounts, that are for people who can justify the need to SEND from a PIVX.org email address. For those that simply need to RECEIVE from a PIVX.org email address, we use aliases which are free.


Costs:

The costs for the service worked out to $287.77 USD for a year. At the current PIVX price, that works out to 1,600 PIV. I am also including the 50 PIV proposal submission fee to be reimbursed, for a total request of 1,650 PIV for a single treasury cycle.
