Dumb question-Wallet seed

I new to the forum and PIVX Core wallet but not new to cryptocurrency in general. With all other wallets, there is a mnemonic seed that generates addresses and serves as a backup.

I currently store my PIVX on a Ledger and would like to move it to the Core wallet for staking. However, without the seed, I don’t want to move everything only to lose it if my computer crashes.

The PIVX Core wallet is not currently a deterministic (or a HD) wallet (the Android wallet is though, but it doesn’t stake). The current roadmap is going to implement deterministic zPiv and, not on the roadmap currently but being discussed is, eventually making Piv deterministic as well.
