This is a place to discuss "how we can form this alliance in the best interests of PIVX"
The challenge
Bitcoin is not a suitable coin for mass adoption. The high fees and slow block times make it impractical for everyday uses such as buying coffee or gasoline.
The Solution
PIVX is the PERFECT coin for mass adoption. It has low fees, fast confirmations, it is easy to get from many exchanges and it has privacy if needed.
The PIVX team has worked tirelessly to perfect the latest advancements with zPiv and the new light wallet. The next logical step is to move forward with applications to enhance and facilitate mass adoption. The same technology would allow small shops as well as huge organizations to accept PIVX for a variety of new uses.
The situation
There are a huge amount of ALT coins with small teams working on projects to assist mass adoption. It is impractical to think anyone will EVER adopt a coin with a 24hr volume under $1000. These teams are interested in developing their application to help crypto currency to become more mainstream and most are working for free.
The idea
The plan is to ‘MERGE’ 50 or more failing ALT coins into one project…’PROJECT MERGE’ and use this new coin as a talent pool and PIVX incubator to develop applications that will work alongside current PIVX development. MERGE will set up a new coin forking the core-code from the latest PIVX releases and allow for a type of ‘LIVE TESTNET’ for developers to come and work.
Revenue
The funds to complete MERGE projects will NOT come from PIVX budget. They will come as follows:
Once an application has been developed and thoroughly tested on the merge network the PIVX team will decide whether this application brings value to PIVX and IF it should be integrated.

- We have some ‘outside’ funding to cover startup costs
- The treasury / budget system once we get rolling
- Some of the coins being ‘merged’ already have funding for their applications
- Merge will charge ‘clients’ to develop custom applications
