Hi All!

This proposal marks the continuation of our ongoing partnership with Coinomi. For those that have missed it you can refer to the older proposal here -

I am acting as an intermediary between Coinomi and the PIVX DAO.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NOW AN UPDATE TO THIS PROPOSAL AS FOLLOWS:
PIVX continues to position itself as a leading privacy-focused blockchain with real-world usability. The initial Coinomi partnership successfully reactivated engagement across Coinomi’s global user base and delivered meaningful marketing and community exposure for PIVX.

Since the original Phase 1 proposal (May 2025), Coinomi has undergone a major platform transformation, including:

  • Full Kotlin architecture migration
  • Complete UI/UX overhaul (first since 2014)
  • Development and launch of the Coinomi Rewards system
  • Creation of a new Rust-based crypto module (libcoinomi)
These foundational upgrades were required before advanced integrations such as PIVX shielded transactions could be implemented at production quality.

During this period, a significant portion of the originally outlined technical work was completed internally by the Coinomi team as part of this broader rebuild. As a result, some deliverables were achieved in forms that did not directly map to the original proposal structure.

This proposal aligns the partnership with the current reality:

  • Marketing and community deliverables were successfully completed
  • Core technical groundwork has already been built
  • Remaining work is now focused on final integration, validation, and delivery
The objective of this proposal is to bring the PIVX integration to a fully reviewable, testable, and deployable state, with a clear and limited funding request.

Technical Progress (Work Completed to Date)

To address concerns around development visibility, the following technical work has already been completed internally:

Core Infrastructure

  • Full migration to Kotlin Multiplatform architecture (required for modern integrations)
  • Complete restructuring of Coinomi core modules
  • UI/UX overhaul enabling new asset flows and onboarding systems

PIVX-Specific Foundations

  • Creation of libcoinomi, a Rust-based cryptographic module designed to support Sapling-based protocols
  • Integration framework for librustzcash (adapted for PIVX’s Sapling implementation)
  • Initial implementation of ZIP32-compatible key handling strategy
  • BitcoinJ modifications enabling PIVX v3 transaction construction
  • Foundation for shielded address generation implemented
  • Wallet-level integration scaffolding completed

Indexer & Data Layer

  • Connection established between PIVX daemon and indexer
  • Database structure for shielded data created
  • Initial data population and validation in progress

Why this matters for PIVX

These components are not generic upgrades — they are the required technical foundation for mobile shielded transactions, something not currently available in any widely distributed multi-asset mobile wallet.

Remaining Deliverables (This Proposal)

1. Shielded Transaction Integration (Completion Phase)

  • Finalize shielded address generation
  • Complete note tracking and balance handling
  • Implement transaction building and proof generation
  • Finalize indexer syncing strategy
  • Complete send/receive functionality
  • Perform full integration testing and validation
  • Implement final UI flows
  • Security review and polish
Outcome:
Coinomi delivers fully functional mobile PIVX shielded transactions in test-ready state

2. PIVX Integration Finalization & Reviewability

  • Provide testable build environment for PIVX team
  • Establish structured feedback loop for validation
  • Deliver integration in a format that can be reviewed and verified by PIVX contributors

3. Coinomi Rewards – PIVX Activation

  • Launch PIVX as a featured asset inside Coinomi Rewards
  • Deploy onboarding and education modules for SHIELD
  • Implement engagement tasks tied to PIVX usage
  • Drive measurable user interaction and retention

4. Continued Marketing & Community Support

  • Follow-up PIVX trivia event (improved format)
  • Second X Space + privacy-focused roundtable participation
  • Additional educational content publication
  • 3–5 new short-form content pieces

Key Deliverable Outcome

This proposal does not initiate new exploratory work.

It:

  • Finalizes already-developed infrastructure
  • Converts internal progress into a deliverable integration
  • Brings PIVX to a production-ready mobile privacy milestone

Funding Request

Total Requested: $4,000 (in PIVX equivalent)

Rationale

This is a completion-focused allocation, not a full development budget.

Funding is used to:

  • Finalize shielded transaction implementation
  • Complete integration and testing
  • Deliver a reviewable build
  • Activate PIVX inside Coinomi Rewards
  • Support final marketing execution
No funding is requested for:

  • Previously completed work
  • Core infrastructure already built

Why This Proposal Makes Sense for the DAO

  • A significant portion of technical work is already complete
  • The remaining scope is clearly defined and time-bound
  • The funding request is small relative to delivered value
  • The outcome is a first-of-its-kind mobile privacy integration for PIVX
  • Marketing and distribution are built directly into the product (Rewards system)

Conclusion

The Coinomi x PIVX partnership has already delivered strong community activation and built the technical foundation required for meaningful product integration.

This proposal represents the final step:

  • Converting that foundation into a working, testable, and deployable integration
  • Delivering real utility for PIVX users
  • Expanding PIVX’s presence inside a long-standing multi-asset wallet ecosystem
With a focused and efficient funding request, this proposal aims to bring the integration across the finish line.

OLDER PROPOSAL:

Introduction:

PIVX continues to distinguish itself as a privacy-forward chain with real users, and the Phase 1 pilot demonstrated that clearly. The partnership re-engaged Coinomi’s global user base, brought fresh attention to PIVX, and accelerated adoption through content, events, and measurable inflows into the ecosystem.

This 60-day follow-up proposal focuses on the two highest-impact opportunities for PIVX right now: delivering first-in-market mobile shielded transactions and positioning PIVX as a featured launch asset inside the new Coinomi Rewards system to drive sustained user growth and daily activity.

The remaining technical deliverables from Phase 1 were delayed only because Coinomi completed major platform upgrades — the Kotlin migration, the first full UI/UX overhaul since 2014, and the foundation of the new Rewards system. These were prerequisite infrastructure improvements required before any partner integrations, including PIVX.

This proposal covers the unfinished commitments and unlocks two new high-value benefits for PIVX: a dedicated development effort to ship native shielded transaction support, and top-level visibility inside Coinomi Rewards, a new high-reach user engagement system.

Completed Marketing & Community Deliverables

  • Premium content pieces produced and published
  • X Space completed
  • Live PIVX trivia event delivered
  • Social giveaway campaign completed
  • Co-branded merch and online store setup completed
  • Shortform clips produced and promoted
  • In-app engagement concept and design document delivered
  • 24/7 PIVX-trained support active
  • Conference and business-development inclusion completed

Deliverables

Marketing & Community Activation

  1. Coinomi Rewards – PIVX Campaign: PIVX will be a featured launch asset inside Coinomi Rewards, with a privacy-focused campaign designed to grow the PIVX user base and re-engage existing Coinomi users. The campaign will include:
    • Short learn modules covering PIVX, SHIELD, and mobile privacy
    • Simple engagement tasks (trivia, backup checks, activity streaks) feeding a leaderboard and PIVX airdrop incentives
This makes PIVX the central privacy asset showcased at Rewards launch and creates measurable user growth and recurring activity.

  1. Continuous Educational Content: Produce and maintain ongoing high-quality educational content (article and video) focused on “Getting Started with PIVX & SHIELD in Coinomi,” published and promoted across Coinomi social channels and blog.

  2. Live Trivia Event – Part 2: Host an improved follow-up to the prior PIVX trivia event within the Coinomi community (Discord / X Spaces). Incorporate better participation mechanics based on learnings from the first session.

  3. X Spaces – Part 2 + Privacy Roundtable: Co-host a second PIVX x Coinomi X Space and participate in an upcoming privacy-themed roundtable with PIVX and ecosystem partners.

  4. Shortform Content Clips: Produce 3–5 short video snippets derived from the main educational content for posting on X, Instagram, and TikTok to drive visibility and traffic.
PIVX Technical Integration Deliverables

  1. PIVX SHIELD Transaction Integration: Coinomi integrates full mobile shielded send/receive using PIVX’s existing RPC/libs and handles mobile UI/UX + QA, making Coinomi the first mobile wallet in the ecosystem to support PIVX shielded transactions. This is a major milestone for the PIVX community and a significant extension of Coinomi’s multi-chain privacy capabilities, enabling mobile users to transact privately at scale for the first time.

The shielded-transaction integration developed during this grant will be open-sourced. This gives the PIVX dev community direct access to client-side implementation code, reference flows, and mobile-ready privacy features they can build on going forward.
Estimated timeline: 4–6 weeks (medium-to-high complexity)

Breakdown:
Native library integration (librustzcash via Kotlin Multiplatform): ~1 week
Shielded address generation: ~3 days
Balance & note tracking: ~2 days
Transaction building & proof generation: ~1–2 weeks
ElectrumX integration (syncing strategy): ~3–5 days
Integration & testing: ~3 days
UI implementation: ~3 days
Security audit & polish: ~3 days

Note: We’re finalizing a few technical decisions that may affect the timeline. Once these are decided, we can refine the estimate. The 4–6 week range accounts for these variables.

  1. Dedicated PIVX Support Training & Launch: Develop and deliver a specialized training module covering all core PIVX features, including full support for PIVX shielded transactions. Roll out enhanced PIVX support coverage across Live Chat, Ticketing, and AI Help channels.

  2. PIVX Test Environment Setup: Configure and provide access to a dedicated testing environment within Coinomi's infrastructure for the PIVX team to validate their integration work against the upcoming Kotlin applications.

  3. Initial Integration Review & Feedback Loop: Establish a formal process for Coinomi's technical team to review PIVX's integration progress, provide timely feedback, and ensure alignment with Coinomi's overall platform standards and security requirements.

  4. Coinomi v2 Roadmap Alignment: Deliver formal internal documentation confirming PIVX's prioritized status for support and visibility within the Coinomi v2 launch roadmap.
