Role and Introduction
BreadJS is PIVX Labs' full-time Web Developer since September 2023, with his influence on Labs being visible on every single Labs platform you've used, including My PIVX Wallet, PIVCards, PIVX Rewards, PIVListen and more.
Progress Report
My PIVX Wallet v2.0: launched!
BreadJS, alongside continued back-and-forth work with Meerkat, JSKitty and the Quality Control team, finalised the design of v2.0 which had successfully launched on September 30th.
Welcome to v2.0!
PIVCards: new Settings Design!
In preparation for new features incoming for the PIVCards platform - BreadJS worked on the UI for the new Settings screen!
Initially, PIVCards has two new settings available to users with the intent on making the Checkout process even faster.
- "Remember Refund Address": does exactly as it says, PIVCards will store your address locally in your browser to auto-fill future Refund Addresses, speeding up your checkouts.
- "Skip Refund Address Step": this feature allows you to completely skip the Refund UI, as long as an address is saved locally. You want instant (but still safe) checkouts? This is for you.
By default, the first setting is enabled, and the second setting is disabled: allowing users to more quickly navigate through orders, but still with the ability to double-check or change their refund address if they wish, by keeping the refund UI available to them.
Some small UI bugs were also resolved for PIVCards, like MacOS rendering issues and responsiveness issues.
Labs Oracle: Mobile Improvements
Previously, Labs Oracle had some issues with mobile rendering, now it's working as intended with proper width proportions on mobile devices.
Proposal Plans
These plans are now ordered by priority, with the top-most items receiving the most attention and lower-most being "spare-time" ventures.
Plans may also change or expand during the proposal's timeframe, all work in which will be documented by PIVX Labs and reported on accordingly.
My PIVX Wallet: v2.x: UI for new features, bugfixes for old features
With MPW v2.0 live, the focus shifts to v2.x as our next big releases. Over the next three months, various v2.x releases are expected as new major features hit the app, of which BreadJS will be implementing the interfaces for, as well as brushing up and polishing some existing UI and flows.
Incoming features likely to make it in the next three months, influenced by Bread's frontend work are:
- Multi-Accounts: the ability to create, import and hot-swap to multiple MPW accounts (wallets), including Ledger accounts, this will require some hefty UI work.
- Multi-Masternodes: the ability to create and control unlimited masternodes in MPW. (In-Progress with design files already created).
- General polish, maintenance and smoothing of existing MPW UI.
PIVCards: Cashback, Catalogue & Improvements
After a delay due to the intense focus on My PIVX Wallet v2.0, PIVCards will be getting back it's necessary focus for it's new upcoming features. Cashback and Catalogues!
Cashback is a Shield rewards programme on PIVCards powered by PIVX Rewards - more info to come soon, this will be the first feature released in the coming month, the infrastructure is already built, now comes the user interface.
The Catalogue is a well-requested feature, finally in the headlights of Labs - once Cashback is live, our immediate focus for PIVCards shifts to creating a catalogue system, allowing users to browse cards in a more traditional catalogue-book-style, rather than using our current vague and slightly confusing Search Engine - once the Catalogue is live, the search engine will become a secondary feature, with the Catalogue as the primary way to browse for your favorite brands, as well as seeing cards popular in your country.
