HI PIVX Community!

This proposal is to list PIVX into another privacy friendly self-custodial wallet - Edge. The main request for this wallet was actually made on X by Naomi Brockwell, a prominent figure fighting for privacy for all!. You can see that request here:

This integration would essentially mean that Naomi would accept donations for PIVX on her website and therefore it will be introduced into a whole new group of pro-privacy people!

Now the most important is actually giving our PIVIANS both present and future a new tool to access their PIVX, Edge has been around since 2014 and has literally stood the test of time. Edge advocates for privacy and may essentially add shielded addresses in the near future. I have also already discussed the listing of PIVX into Edge wallet with the co-founder, Paul and he already agreed to list PIVX for a cost of $20,000 which can be paid via PIVX through this proposal.

Edge Wallet Features:
  • Security: Edge Wallet has a zero-knowledge security architecture, meaning it doesn't collect user data. It also has two-factor authentication and automatic encrypted backups.

  • Ease of use: Edge Wallet is designed to be easy to use, with simple account creation and restoration.

  • Multi-device synchronization: You can use the same wallet on multiple devices.

  • Cryptocurrency support: Edge Wallet supports many cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and soon PIVX ;)

  • Exchange: You can exchange cryptocurrencies within the app via swap partners that PIVX is already on.

  • Wallet management: You can create multiple wallets per account, tag transactions, and configure mining fees.

  • Integration: Edge Wallet integrates with your address book to auto-complete payee names and photos.

  • Open-source code: The Edge Wallet's code is open-source and available on GitHub.

  • Decentralized server architecture: Edge Wallet's servers are decentralized, so it works even if the Edge servers are down.

integration into swap feature which will allow easy onboarding through swapping other cryptocurrencies for PIVX and vice-versa
A public Blockbook explorer for PIVX
A public PIVX node run by edge

Funding:

I will submit for 110k PIVX during this cycle which is currently 18409 USD according to coinmarketcap calculator. Due to volatility this is bound to change by the time the proposal pays out so I will likely have to submit a part 2. Will provide updates then.
