New Pivian
Proposal and Update

Thank you for the support you’ve given to my previous proposal. I’d like to provide an update and make a new proposal for the upcoming month.

First of all, I wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope 2025 will be a great milestone for PIVX.

Communicating with Turkish Crypto ExchangesReaching out to exchanges via Twitter to plan potential activities. Contacted Turkish managers of CoinEX and MEXC and am in discussions with them for possible collaborations. Both exchanges mentioned prioritizing “top-tier” projects for AMA sessions, but I’m persistently pushing for different events.Ongoing Discussions
Podcast with Privacy ProjectsConfirmed to record a podcast with the Turkish ambassador of Zano this month. This initiative is purely collaborative, with no financial motives for either party. Preparations are underway despite earlier delays caused by unforeseen circumstances.Confirmed
Promotions via Local Food BusinessesWhile cryptocurrency payments are currently banned in Turkey, I’m exploring creative promotional ideas. Two local businesses have tentatively agreed to use PIVX-branded items like service trays, plates, and wet wipes. However, as this involves costs, I’m hesitant to move forward until I fully establish my credibility with the community.Conceptual Phase

Focus Areas

  1. Social Media Statistics & YouTube Growth
My main goal is to enhance PIVX’s presence in digital spaces. Making PIVX resources more accessible through these platforms is a priority.
  2. Community Events
I aim to complete all promised work this month, prove myself to the community, and take further initiatives. I believe my experience in building local communities will be valuable for PIVX. For example, I may organize a conference-style event with a simultaneous live stream.

Acknowledgments

  • To PIVX Social Media Team: I’m thrilled to be part of the team and deeply appreciate Leacymyk’s support.
  • To Turkish Ambassador Talha: Thank you for always answering my questions and agreeing to collaborate to grow the community. Talha has been part of PIVX far longer than I have, and I respect his dedication.

Looks good! I missed the name of your proposal- Could you name it in the headline please, so there will be no misunderstandings?

In the DAO voting view of the core wallet I see 3 proposals, two seem to be the same, and one 'PIVXCollaborationtr".

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. My offer is ''PivxCollaborationtr''

The other two “PIVXTR4” proposals belong to Talha. When I checked, his forum post reads '' It states that “due to an error, the same offer has been opened twice”.

Hello,

I apologize for being late. My 11-month-old son has caught swine flu, and we’ve been going through some challenging times. Despite this, I have continued working in the background.

Updates:

  1. New YouTube Video:
    • Our new video will be live tomorrow.

  2. Article Publication:
  3. Document Translation:
    • I emphasized that I am committed to going above and beyond with document translations. We plan to start with translating the pivx.org website into Turkish this month.
  4. Telegram Community Event:
    • We need to organize an event to attract more people to the Telegram community. I must admit that due to my son's condition, it has been difficult to focus on this. However, we will have a well-organized event before the end of the month. Statistics from the event, such as the number of participants and new members joining the group, will be shared here.
  5. Twitter Account Creation:
    • A new PIVX Turkey Community Twitter account will be launched. The original account will continue to maintain its brand identity by sharing official posts and articles, while the new account will focus on our community’s unique content.
  6. Podcast:
    • We’ve discussed a podcast recording with the Zano Turkey ambassador, who has confirmed their participation. Hopefully, we’ll record it soon.
Next Steps:
That’s all for my progress report for now. Talha has also shared his updates. We still have about 14-15 days left, and I will provide another monthly update in the final week.

This feedback is common to both Turkish proposals. I will post this same message on both.

I am having trouble reviewing both Turkish proposals.

Both list off many valuable line items to accomplish. However, understanding what has been completed each month is difficult. I am worried both are extremely over optimistic as to what can be accomplished. Ideas are easy. Execution is hard.

I get that things change, and unexpected hurdles present themselves all the time. So, I am not expecting everything to be completed. But, what would help me greatly, is a list of items that are completed each month. My concern is that months will pass, and the net sum of these proposals will be that many things were tried, and almost nothing was completed. There is value in starting small, and doing fewer things well, rather than starting many things and completing none.

Now, I realize that both proposals are brand new, but there have been prior proposals, and I am not seeing clear 'traction' being achieved with either. That doesn't mean it isn't there ..... it's just hard to pull out and separate from the long list of updates and messages.

Perhaps once a month, you can each prepare a brief list for; 1) Efforts Started, 2) Efforts with progress - and what that progress is, 3) Efforts completed and what the result is.

Once you have done this for your current proposals, then I can better decide how to vote.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

Hello again, @Eric_Stanek
I realize my response is a bit delayed. Unfortunately, my 11-month-old baby is sick, and I’ve been spending time with them. I would like to extend my respect to everyone who has shown understanding during this period. Despite the circumstances, I have continued to move forward with my work plan as much as possible.

During this process, even though we managed to progress with ongoing tasks thanks to Talha's support, we couldn't share the workload in an ethically fair manner. I’d like to thank him for giving me the initiative.

Thank you, @talhatr

I saw the posts you shared in the Turkish ambassador's forum thread, and I wanted to share progress reports in a more organized manner like that.

Moving forward steadily seems to be the most reliable approach. Sharing posts on social media, interacting by following the existing PIVX Global accounts, and taking small responsibilities to progress step by step is a reasonable strategy.

However, creating a more comprehensive work plan can sometimes yield better results. Of course, I cannot guarantee that everything will be 100% successful, but I want you to know that efforts are being made to do the best possible under any circumstances.

Currently, the progress update is as follows:

  • 4 different articles have been published,
  • 2 different YouTube videos have been shared,
  • An event announcement will be made on Saturday.
Meanwhile, we are continuing with our primary responsibilities, such as maintaining PIVX's brand value on social media, supporting the official account’s posts, and translating content into Turkish for sharing.

Of course, we can also proceed with a more limited work plan if requested.

This is the update report I can provide for now. If you notice any missing parts, please do not hesitate to mention them. You are making efforts to take the right steps for progress by voting on our proposals. I am new here, and I am eager to achieve more progress with Talha.

If you are not satisfied with my work, you are free to reject my proposal. I wish you a great day.

Note: My son has contracted swine flu, and according to the doctor, his fever will likely remain high for another 3-4 days. During this time, I will still fulfill my responsibilities.

Thank you.

Summary:

I am really struggling with providing feedback for the 2 Turkish proposals. I am going to detail my concerns that are common to both of them first, and I will post the same statement to each proposal. After that, I am going to update each proposal with some points specific to each.

Here are my common concerns:

1. Proposal Added-Value:

A good proposal maximizes the added-value to PIVX compared to the cost of that proposal. This typically means the focus should be on tasks that have low effort, but result in many new PIVians, or lots of positive exposure etc. etc.

So, we want to focus on tasks that are: LOW effort and HIGH value.

What I am seeing are many tasks that are: HIGH effort and LOW value.

Also, in both proposals, I see a LONG COMPLICATED list of various tasks, with the goal of demonstrating that there is a LOT of work to do, and therefore the cost of the proposal is substantial and justified. That's the wrong approach to select tasks. Worse, there is also duplication of tasks in both proposals, which increases costs, further undermining the value-added.

For example, both proposals mention working with local businesses. In addition to duplicated effort, this is LOW value (It is currently illegal for businesses to accept crypto) and HIGH effort:

From the 'PIVXCollaborationtr' proposal:

Local_Business_1.png

From the 'PIVXTR4' proposal:

Local_Business_2.png

2. Proposal Scope:

Also, both proposals mention connecting with Turkish exchanges. This is a HIGH effort HIGH value task, but the success is undermined if multiple representatives of PIVX contact the same exchanges. Further, it is a very steep learning curve to be successful at making the proper connections, determining the true value an exchange offers PIVX, and negotiating with them. Jeffrey has proven himself to be extremely skilled at this, so why isn't he taking the lead? Do the proper contacts at the exchanges only speak Turkish?

From the 'PIVXCollaborationtr' proposal:

Exchanges_1.png

From the 'PIVXTR4' proposal:

Exchanges_2.png

Both proposals should be focused on LOW effort HIGH value tasks. Over time, as trust, skills and network connections build, it makes sense to include HIGH effort tasks, but even then the tasks should NEVER be duplicated by multiple PIVians.

3. Proposal Goals and Organization given the Regulatory Environment:

In the Turkish proposals, I see comments like;

"Businesses cannot officially accept PIVX payments at the moment due to regulatory issues."

and

"While cryptocurrency payments are currently banned in Turkey ..."

So, it is my understanding that Turkey is crypto-friendly, but it doesn’t like privacy coins, and requires KYC for all types of crypto activities. It has also banned the use of cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment and for everyday use. Because of this, there is no value focusing on any task related to use cases or adoption. There is indeed significant crypto speculation activity, so that means we should focus on Awareness, Exposure and Promotion, each which support speculation.

That limits efforts to Socials and Trade Shows, both supported by Translation efforts across PIVX. It makes sense that both of you attend local Trade Shows. But, I believe that this should be detailed in a dedicated proposal.

Socials should be divided between the 2 of you, and each of you should help engage in the other's posts etc. as well as non-PIVX posts, that are crypto or privacy related.

Conclusion:

Hope this helps! I am going to take a break and then start adding feedback specific to each proposal.

There is HUGE opportunity in Turkey, but we need to spend the Treasury funds wisely and efficiently. Let's work together and make that happen!
