In the QT/GUI PIVX as above:
  1. Open the PIVX wallet, Select "settings"
  2. Select "Wallet Data"
  3. Select "Wallet"
  4. Then select the box which states "Select folder ..."
  5. Save your PIVX wallet in the directory of your choosing and name it whatever you like, However when loading it into your PIVX wallet directory it must always be named wallet.dat.

Via file browser:

Windows:

Close your PIVX wallet first.
Navigate to your default directory of your data files, On windows it is:
index.php

%appdata%/pivx
Once there, Locate your wallet.dat and make a secure copy of it elsewhere.

Linux:
Close your PIVX wallet first.
Navigate to your wallets default data directory or the directory you specified, By default on linux it is:
Once in this folder, Locate your wallet.dat and make a secure copy of it elsewhere.

macOS:
1.) Open a finder window, then select the "Go" dropdown menu. In this menu press the "Go to Folder..." option. In the window that opens type:
~/Library/Application Support/PIVX
Once in this folder, Locate your wallet.dat and make a secure copy of it elsewhere.

Some safety guidelines:
Never give your wallet file to anyone, No PIVX staff member will ever ask for it.
Never store your wallet file in a location someone else has access to.
Relying on a single storage mechanism such as an sd card is risky, always have other options incase of damage etc.
For your safety do not use cloud storage.
Always encrypt/set a password, make sure it is secure and that you cannot forget it.
