Role and Introduction
Rushali is the latest trial member at PIVX Labs - utilising her vast computing-academia to push the development of Labs Oracle, PIVX Rewards and PIVCards further, particularly in areas of frontend work.
Introduction
"Meet Rushali, an undergraduate student in her final year of study in the CSE program, ready to make her industry transition. Having built a strong base in programming, and with a keen eye for detail toward design, Rushali focuses on front-end development and works with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python. She will put her passion for coding and innovation into being a front-end developer. She's thrilled about the opportunity to apply her skills in a real-world setting, contributing to vibrant projects and growing within the dynamic tech industry."
Skillset
- Developer in: Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JS
- Educated in: Web Development, Artificial Intelligence
Role and Trial
Rushali will spend her first month in the Labs trial-by-fire; she'll be taking over the frontend development of Labs Oracle, finishing off the existing frontend, building newly planned features, and once Oracle is taken care of... she'll head towards the platforms of PIVX Rewards and PIVCards.
This role was decided upon after reviewing the ever-growing list of work that BreadJS (as our sole Labs Platform web developer) was taking on, with Labs now operating six platforms, and at least three requiring active development of new features (MyPIVXWallet, PIVCards and PIVX Rewards), this work is simply too much for a single dev to uphold. As such, Rushali will act as an assistant developer to myself (JSKitty) and BreadJS. In the future, her role may evolve in to a larger one of higher responsibility and reward, if we deem it a worthy and suitable venture.
Ideally, Rushali's position will fill the gaps of work that Bread was too overloaded to handle, bringing Labs' frontend updates back to proper speed. Bread will continue to handle MyPIVXWallet primarily.
Budget Allocation Plan
This trial, or "test/pilot proposal", will be running at half of Rushali's future allocation of 12,500 PIV.
If the proposal is successful and her work fulfills the needs of PIVX Labs, she'll be upgraded from a 6,250 LMP to a monthly 12,500 LRP.
Proposal Plans
These plans are now ordered by priority, with the top-most items receiving the most attention and lower-most being "spare-time" ventures.
Plans may also change or expand during the proposal's timeframe, all work in which will be documented by PIVX Labs and reported on accordingly.
Labs Oracle: v1.0 Launch
Her first test is the completion and launch of Labs Oracle to the public: our in-house open-source price aggregator (akin to CoinGecko), launching the service as v1.0 during this cycle.
Objectives:
- Complete the existing UI (currency selection, price refreshing).
- Add a price calculator.
- Add Historical Charts (allowing users to see the historical price of PIVX in any preferred currency).
PIVX Rewards: Labs Ads Dashboard
Given Bread is going to be working primarily on PIVCards and MPW Beta 'polish/fixes' after the Beta launch: this gap in resources can allow Rushali to kickstart the Labs Ads Dashboard, where Advertisers will create, submit, and monitor their Labs Ads campaigns on-site with beautiful analytics.
The goals and progress will vary depending on time and progress, but the main objectives are:
- Creating the 'submission' page: where advertisers fill data and banners for their ads and submit them for review.
- Creating the 'dashboard' page: where advertisers will see statistics and performance reports of their ad campaigns, as well as the ability to cancel or top-up campaigns.
Fun stuff: additional, low-priority free-time tasks
With the main two large projects and tasks out of the way, Rushali's trial will be considered a success... however, if we can fit them, additional projects are on the table!
PIVX Rewards needs an Admin Panel, if Bread and/or Rushali have the time available to work on it, this will be our next task to fulfill, improving the safety and growth of the PIVX Rewards platform, which currently is lacking the analytics necessary to follow growth patterns, analyse malicious accounts, and more accurately predict inflow/outflow to the platform.
That said, we begin our latest trial-by-fire.
Welcome to PIVX Labs, Rushali!
