I'm going to have to totally remove myself from this discussion, I honestly am seeing this as, we are funding 'trading' at this point, I 'misunderstand' that increased demand means that we will then need to give them more PIVX to sell so that people can easily get in with size without making the book too volatile..... This in turn allows us to keep plenty of use cases which will in turn lead to increased demand, which will lead to them selling and needing more top-ups.Re:
This is failed logic. For YEARS we have said that we need MORE liquidity. MUCH MUCH more! So, you are judging their performance on us NOT listening to them, or the entire crypto industry for that matter, and providing more liquidity. All this time we have been pleading with them to keep us listed even with minimal liquidity. On top of that, @Jeffrey has spent hours and hours every month, re-allocating MM funds where they were needed most. Imagine what happens when he finds work elsewhere and PIVX no longer has those relationships.
What will prove you wrong is what happens when we get de-listed from MEXC and our monthly Treasury drops to $2,000 USD per month in TOTAL for the ENTIRE Team and Infrastructure costs!
Also, if the MM proposal does not pass, I see zero reason to be contributing my funds to the liquidity on NonKYC.io, and neither does @Jeffrey so someone better be ready to step up on that or we will get de-listed their too.
Thorchain and Maya require massive liquidity to work. Why on earth would you approve liquidity there, when you feel the much smaller amount on MEXC isn't worth it?
I feel like my point is going right over everyone's head. I absolutely am going to call out each of you on your failed logic with "I told you so!" when the price crashes hard again. Frankly, hurting PIVX so much, should cause you each such shame, you willingly leave.
I dont want to experience enough shame to willingly leave (again), so i'm just going to leave this alone.
After watching that video I'm more convinced than before that market making isn't neccesary, and I understand that MEXC needs it or they delist us, but MEXC wants trading fees, not private storage and transfer of value from one human to another. seemingly from the video our 'real' trading volume is nil, until it flares up, but with this the price doesnt flare up with it, infact its being artificially subdued as they are selling treasury tokens to 'make the market', real sellers just arent present because they are busy running masternodes and cold staking. I think this market making is 'possibly' a solution for when we have a market to defend, but again, at this point i'm pretty certain I cannot stop this from going over my head. I just never seen the value in this stuff, i'm happy to discuss, but I realise it's now become a bit of an emotional subject.
I hope this doesnt offend anyone too deeply, but this topic is too far off mission for me, so I'm out.
I'll spend a little bit of time looking at basicswap, I'll make a discussion thread if it provides enough of a possible solution for swap sites and gift cards, hope you guys can figure it all out.
