Hi all,

This is my proposal for continuing to produce the graphics needed for social media marketing. Please see the examples attached of the work done in this current cycle.

My experience:
My design background is in web, UI/UX, social- and digital-design. As well as previously working as a lead designer, I have also worked in Project and DesignOps Management roles, and Product Coordination/Management, having lead design and marketing teams for crypto, blockchain and ‘traditional’ companies and projects.

Deliverables:
This proposal is to continue my work on any design-related duties that are needed for our official social media content, such as visuals for tweets, blog post banners, profile assets etc.

Examples of my recent work for PIVX are attached at the bottom of this post.

Thanks for reading!

Amount requested: 3800 PIVX / cycle (reduced from last cycle)

How many graphics for PIVX core can be expected during each cycle please? Knowing this will enable me to plan better for socials and to make sure I don't under or over ask for graphics.
Thank you.

How many were made previously? How many were used? Were they cross platform for all social accounts including worldwide social ones such as the Spanish one? How much reach did they get?

With the development of ai these social accounts could and in my opinion should be merged into one proposal which automatically translates and posts on ALL platforms and accounts.

Images can be created by simply using software such as chatgpt, stable diffusion etc.

The same as it’s always been since day one @LeacyMcK! ~5-6 hrs / week on social banners - which works out at approx 3-4 new banner sets per week, depending on complexity. Sometimes 2 animated banners can take as long as 4 static ones.

Are you planning on increasing the number of social posts output each week? If so, maybe we can have a discussion about it in discord and include everyone involved? Or we can do it here, it will probably just take a bit longer!

Some images could be made using AI, but good luck trying to add our brand font and text content to them! AI isn’t yet able to generate good copy on images. Give it a try. Try and recreate one of our recent social banners using Dall-e and see what you get!

For info, all the banner sets I create have been used so far. Leacy writes the text content, I design the banner graphics for Twitter and Instagram and add the text content.

From my latest experience I have learned that it will take a while for the AI to be a competition for many designers.
AI can generate some ideas but it requires a lot of work to prepare an AI engine that will do what you want it to do.
For now there is very little chance that any AI will generate a flowless images and no chance that it can generate a brand campaign with text and logos. Also it cannot make editable files like PSDs, only low quality JPGs (very bad and clearly visible compression in high resolution images).
It will take this technology some time, lots of training, improved algorithms and lots of financial resources to make it reliable.
For now it is somewhat useful, but it can get frustrating at times when trying to use AI images.
Example from yesterday. After few frustrating days spent with Kyeno on trying to generate real looking casino with a girl in a foreground and some people playing cards in the background, we gave up. Unable to find a fitting photo of a casino interior, I've decided to take the best I could find AI generated image from Freepik (premium account allows me to download high resolution and AI generated images) to use it as a background image. If I wanted to make it perfect and realistic looking without all those mistakes it would take me few days so I just somewhat fixed up those big chips on the table (that Jeffrey noticed after I've sent it to him) and that's that. Am I happy with the final result? NO, but I have to compromise.
Conclusion: I've wasted a lot of time trying to save some time by using AI. Don't get me wrong it has it's use cases but it's not a miracle worker, at least not yet.

Hope my experience can help someone to not get all hopes up like me and burnt like me. ;)

AI image generation is still VERY far from being able to replace a learned graphic designer for any kind of professional promotional purposes. to even suggest the notion of "simply" replacing such professionals with AI is absurd and exemplifies one's lack of knowledge and experience in the subject matter.
